Ricardo Ramon (Donostia–San Sebastián, 1966) is a multidisciplinary Basque artist whose work spans cinema, television, animation, and literature.
With his latest project, Kubo Planet, he draws inspiration from the organic qualities of wood to create a universe filled with sculptures influenced by mythology, beliefs, animated drawings, and fantasy.
With imperfection as its central theme, Ricardo Ramon works with weathered surfaces to create deeply personal pieces imbued with depth and soul. Inspired by the animal kingdom, his figures take shape as goddesses and gods, transcendent and animated beings. In essence, his creations aim to serve as talismans, helping us reconnect with our unpoetic lives.
